How We Treat Substance Abuse at Clearview
Though we do not provide primary treatment for drug or alcohol abuse, Clearview Women’s Center will provide you with the most current evidence-based treatment to help end your dependency and learn to cope without the use of substances. At our intimate six-bed residential treatment center and our day treatment center, our expert team of Ph.D.s, licensed therapists, social workers, addiction counselors, life coaches, nutritionists, and psychiatrists can put you on the path to a successful recovery.
Substance abuse treatment at Clearview involves individual and group therapy, in treatment groups of nine or fewer, and includes the following:
- Three or more individual therapy sessions per week with Ph.D. and master’s-level therapists trained in the treatment of alcohol and drug abuse.
- Individual relapse prevention sessions with a staff member experienced in drug and alcohol abuse.
- 12-step meeting attendance in the community.
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help change thoughts and beliefs that are not serving you.
- Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to help you improve your emotional regulation, impulse control, and develop healthier coping strategies.
- Skills application groups that will allow you to identify distorted beliefs and learn to better express yourself.
- Art therapy to help identify thoughts and feeling and utilize the creative process therapeutically.
Upon admission to Clearview, you will receive a thorough psychiatric evaluation and comprehensive psychosocial assessment. If it is determined that you are abusing drugs or alcohol, a treatment plan will be developed to address your substance abuse.
Our holistic approach to substance abuse treatment includes yoga, exercise, and healthy diet and nutrition to treat the body as well as the mind. Our unique location 1 mile from the Pacific Ocean allows you to take advantage of the Southern California weather by going on calming walks at the beach and other recreational activities.
