Living with the symptoms of a mood, anxiety, or personality disorder can be challenging. Recovering from them can be even harder, especially if outpatient treatment has not been working for you. Sometimes what you need is time away from the daily stressors of life to focus on you.
At Clearview Women’s Center, we can help you successfully recover from your disorder, develop emotional strength, and learn effective coping strategies for life’s challenges. Focused on emotional regulation, our premier residential treatment center is the only one of its kind on the West Coast. Our intimate facility houses only six women at once, with treatment groups of nine people or fewer, enabling us to individualize treatment to meet your specific needs.
We specialize in treating women who have struggled to improve in outpatient therapy, psychiatric hospital settings, or who have been unresponsive to psychiatric medications.

Services at Clearview Women’s Center
Clearview strives to understand what is at the root of your disorder. We use a variety of assessments to better understand your needs, including a psychiatric evaluation, bio-psychosocial assessment, nutritional assessment, and psychological testing. Doing this helps us to create the individualized treatment plan that will work best for you.
Intensive individual therapy is a core component at our residential treatment center. You will receive three or more individual therapy sessions per week with Ph.D. and master’s-level psychotherapists.
Our expert staff uses the most current, evidence-based treatments available. Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is the core component of our program. All staff members are intensively trained in the DBT model by Behavioral Tech, Marsha Linehan’s training institute, or extensively trained by UCLA Harbor Hospital’s DBT training program.
You will receive individual DBT sessions, DBT coaching, and DBT skills groups focused on mindfulness, emotion regulation, interpersonal effectiveness, and distress tolerance. Other modalities include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness practices, art therapy, anger management, life coaching, and recreational therapy.
Clearview Women’s Residential Treatment Center is committed to treating the whole person, incorporating treatment strategies for both the mind and body. You will participate in yoga therapy twice per week and have access to a gym three days per week. Therapeutic massage, acupuncture, and chiropractic care are also available.
We also understand how important family is to the recovery process. We provide family and couples therapy as needed. Weekly phone updates are provided to families to keep them up-to-date on your treatment progress and to involve them in discharge planning.
Clearview Women’s Center also offers Family Connections, a 12-week evidence-based curriculum developed by the NEA-BPD. This program teaches useful DBT skills to family members and helps them to develop a support network.
Research and our experience have shown that long-term treatment and therapeutic care produce optimal treatment outcomes. Prior to completion of your treatment, you will develop a comprehensive continuing care plan to ensure a successful recovery.
We offer one of the most complete continuums of care available, including day treatment and an outpatient program. This will enable you to reinforce and practice your new skills in real-life settings with help from trained DBT therapists. If you are from out of the area, we will help you to find appropriate psychiatric and therapeutic resources close to home.
Women who spend time at Clearview Women’s Center emerge from our program with a sense of renewed hope, self-confidence, and a proactive plan for living. Call us today at 1- to find out more about how our residential treatment center can help you achieve lasting recovery.
