Living with the symptoms of Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) can be challenging. Recovering from them can be even harder, especially if outpatient BPD treatment has not been working for you. Sometimes what you need is time away from the daily stressors of life to focus on you.
At Clearview Women’s Center, a nationally known center for the treatment of Borderline Personality Disorder, we can help you successfully recover from BPD, develop emotional strength, and learn effective coping strategies for life’s challenges. Using Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to focus on emotional regulation, our premier women’s residential treatment center for Borderline Personality Disorder is the only one of its kind on the West Coast.
Why Residential BPD Treatment at Clearview Women’s Center?
Why is our BPD treatment program effective? We specialize in the treatment of Borderline Personality Disorder and emotional dysregulation, whereas most programs treat people who suffer from a variety of disorders.
This enables us to customize our treatment and use the most current and effective evidence-based treatment available for Borderline Personality Disorder. Every aspect of our program is carefully designed to address the needs of women with BPD.
The core of our program is Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), the most effective treatment for BPD. We provide comprehensive DBT, meaning all clients receive DBT skills training groups, individual DBT therapy sessions, in-person and phone coaching, and we have a DBT consultation team. We also use other evidence-based treatments, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and mindfulness techniques.
The doctoral therapists, psychiatrist, and executive director at our residential BPD treatment center are intensively trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy by Behavioral Tech, Marsha Linehan’s training institute, and/or other training organizations. Additionally, members of our staff receive weekly consultation from Dr. Charles Swenson, an internationally recognized DBT trainer and consultant.
We understand that the decision to enter residential Borderline Personality Disorder treatment can be intimidating. That is why our intimate women’s residential treatment center houses only six women at once.
We strive to make your stay as comfortable, therapeutic, and nurturing as possible. We provide 24-hour care in the comfort of a residential home, rather than a sterile hospital-based program. With treatment groups of nine people or fewer, we can individualize treatment to meet your specific needs.
Who Is Residential BPD Treatment Appropriate For?
Residential Borderline Personality Disorder treatment is appropriate for those who can take time away from everyday life to immerse themselves in their recovery.
At Clearview Women’s Center, we specialize in treating women who have struggled to improve in outpatient therapy, psychiatric hospital settings, or who have been unresponsive to psychiatric medications.
Residential BPD treatment is also appropriate if you are struggling with a co-occurring disorder, such as depression, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), anxiety disorders, self-harm, eating disorders, or drug and alcohol abuse. Our therapists are trained to treat a variety of co-occurring disorders so that you can achieve complete recovery.
Dialectical Behavior Therapy for BPD Treatment
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) has proven to be extremely successful at treating the symptoms of Borderline Personality Disorder and emotional dysregulation. As the core component of our program, DBT is used throughout Clearview Women’s Center so that you can practice the skills you’re learning 24 hours a day.
Clearview’s expert team of DBT therapists will provide you the individual and group therapy you need to improve your emotional regulation, distress tolerance, interpersonal effectiveness, and mindfulness skills.
Our staff of DBT therapists has received the highest level of DBT training so that you can get the best BPD treatment possible. Clearview’s support staff is also trained in DBT skills, allowing you to get the support and structure needed for a complete recovery.
