Clearview Women’s Center is more than just another treatment center. Our dedication to women’s issues and the treatment of personality disorders and psychiatric disorders makes us the only program of its kind on the West Coast.
We strive to live up to our reputation for providing innovative and effective treatment. Clearview offers a complete continuum of care, including residential treatment, day treatment, and outpatient treatment, enabling us to give you the individualized care and personal attention you need for a successful recovery. Our residential treatment center houses only six women at a time, providing unparalleled therapeutic care.
Who We Treat
We specialize in treating women who suffer from Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD), depression, anxiety disorders, and other personality disorders. Substance abuse, eating disorders, and other compulsive behaviors are also a focus of treatment.
Women who come to Clearview often have significant difficulties with emotional regulation and struggle with interpersonal relationships, impulse control, and/or self-harmful behaviors. Our focus on self-care supports improved social functioning, self-reliance, and the development of a stronger sense of self.
If you are seeking treatment for mental health issues, you may also have a history of trauma, abuse, or neglect. Treatment at our women’s-only setting provides you a safe, supportive environment to begin your healing.
Our Treatment Approach at Clearview
At Clearview, you will receive the most up-to-date, evidence-based treatments available, including the following:
- Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
- Mindfulness practices
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
- Art therapy
- Yoga and meditation
- Life coaching
- Anger management
- Recreational therapy
- Acupuncture
- Therapeutic massage
You will be treated with dignity and warmth by our highly skilled staff of psychiatrists, psychologists, psychotherapists, art therapists, nutritionists, and psychiatric technicians, who are all experts in women’s issues.
Our team of DBT therapists have received intensive training by Behavioral Tech, Marsha Linehan’s official training institute, and/or UCLA Harbor Hospital’s DBT training program. Various staff have also been trained in other evidence-based treatments, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).
Treatment in a Home-Like Setting
Our state-licensed residential treatment center is housed in a luxurious residential home in Venice Beach, California, with treatment delivered in a beautiful 9,000-square-foot facility. All residential clients receive 24-hour supervision. Providing treatment in a home-like setting allows us to offer you a secure and nurturing therapeutic environment, unlike some hospital settings.
Our location 1 mile from the Pacific Ocean allows you to take advantage of the natural beauty of Southern California. Recreational activities include beach walks and bike rides. Our Los Angeles location also gives you access to the offerings of a major metropolitan city, including universities, entertainment, and employment opportunities.
Multiple Levels of Care
Research has shown that one of the most critical factors affecting treatment outcomes is length of treatment. Based on your needs, we provide one of the most complete continuums of care available anywhere, including residential treatment, intensive day treatment, and outpatient treatment, allowing you to benefit from a comprehensive treatment experience.
Our full continuum of care will enable you to integrate the skills you have learned into a real-life setting with help from trained staff. Our treatment approach supports a gradual re-emersion into the family, social, educational, and vocational systems that help to create a full, balanced life.
You may enter treatment at the appropriate level of care based on clinical need and the demands of your work and home life. We provide lengths of stay ranging from 30 days to more than six months.
Family Treatment
Part of successful treatment often involves the family. We include family and couples therapy in your treatment regimen whenever possible. Clearview Women’s Center also offers Family Connections, a 12-week evidence-based curriculum developed by the National Education Alliance for Borderline Personality Disorder (NEA-BPD). This program teaches valuable coping skills based on Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and helps families to develop a support network. We also offer family support groups at no charge through our Outpatient Program and the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI).
The dedicated team at Clearview Women’s Center will work to provide you the treatment that will give you the best chance at recovery. Call us today at 1- to get started on your new life.
